Women in Agriculture
To emphasise the important role of women in agriculture in ensuring food security, the United Nations (UN) has designated 2026 the "International Year of Women in Agriculture". The period from 2019 to 2028 has also been designated the "UN Decade of Family Farming".
FiBL is therefore dedicating a series of profiles to "FiBL Women in Agriculture", which can be viewed on this page and on the institute's social media channels. The campaign offers women associated with FiBL who work in practical agriculture the opportunity to showcase their work and share their stories. At the same time, the series will promote dialogue on agroecological approaches to achieving sustainable and equitable food systems.
