FiBL has high-quality McMaster counting chambers for faecal egg count made of acrylic glass (PMMA).
In addition to the tests used in the monitoring programmes, the parasitological laboratory offers more than 20 established tests for routine diagnostics or research-related analyses. One focus is the analysis of faecal samples from all farm animal species. FiBL offers diagnostics for experiments and can also provide support in logistics and the preparation of sampling plans for field trials.
It is also possible to carry out efficacy tests after anthelmintic treatments for all animal species – we will also gladly help with planning.
FiBL has adapted several in vitro tests with endo- and ectoparasites for efficacy testing of natural products. These tests are useful as preliminary trials, for quality control or to gain insights into the mode of action for natural products.
