FiBL maintains a wide range of partnerships at both national and international levels – for example, in research collaboration, exchanges with practitioners, or with funding bodies.

A special relationship exists with institutes that FiBL co-founded and with companies in which FiBL holds a stake.

IFOAM Organics International

FiBL is an active member of IFOAM, the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements. The two organisations have been close strategic partners for over 50 years in the further development of organic farming at an international level.

Bio Suisse

In 1981, FiBL was one of the co-founders of Bio Suisse, the umbrella organisation for Swiss organic farmers. The two organisations are linked by close strategic cooperation in the development of organic farming in Switzerland, particularly in research and its practical implementation.

IFOAM Organics Europe

FiBL is an active member of IFOAM Organics Europe, the European branch of IFOAM. Since its foundation in 2002, FiBL has contributed its technical and research expertise at the European level through strategic cooperation.

IBLA in Luxembourg

The IBLA is the Institute for Organic Agriculture and Agronomy in Luxembourg, and was founded in 2007. FiBL was involved in its founding.

ÖMKi in Hungary

There is close cooperation with ÖMKi, the Hungarian Research Institute for Organic Agriculture. FiBL played a key role in the institute's founding in 2011.

Companies in which FiBL holds a stake

FiBL holds stakes in various companies. SubstainTec is a subsidiary of FiBL in Switzerland, whilst FiBL in Germany holds stakes in FiBL Projekte GmbH, Bio mit Gesicht GmbH and bioC GmbH.
