Presently there are no Bio Suisse certified prunes in the Coop Naturaplan range available. HALBA wants to supply Coop with this product. In conventional dried prunes, re-hydrated prunes are preferred over fully dried prunes. In conventional dried prunes shelf-life is improved by the use of the preservative agent E 202 or by pasteurization of the final product. The Bio Suisse Standards prohibit the use of preservative agents.
In the frame of the project the availability of fresh prunes and the Bio Suisse conform manufacturing of dried prunes shall be evaluated and developed.
