Graphics project: promoting the value of neglected crops

Abstract

The international project "CROPS4HD" (Consumption of Resilient Orphan Crops & Products for Healthier Diets) promotes the production and consumption of Neglected and Underutilized Crops (NUC) to enhance food security and nutrition among smallholder farming communities, with a particular focus on women.

A central component of the project is raising public awareness about the potential and benefits of NUC. To support this goal, the "CROPS4HD-Graphics" project creates engaging and informative communication materials that highlight the nutritional value, climate resilience, environmental benefits, and cultural importance of these crops. By increasing public understanding and appreciation of these crops, the project aims to encourage their integration into everyday meals, while supporting sustainable farming practices and promoting agrobiodiversity.
