The project disseminated the research evidence produced by five r4d projects, expanding and building on their transdisciplinary networks in Mali, Burkina Faso, Ghana and Benin. The network organised 108 events across 53 locations, reaching 8,763 participants. A participatory, stepwise approach was used, involving adoption surveys, transdisciplinary workshops for co-designing strategies, and tailored dissemination activities. These activities included video screenings, farmer training sessions, demonstration plots, radio programmes, theatre performances and collaboration with the solar-powered mobile cinema project, "Cinéma du Désert".
The AgroEcoTeams student project involved young researchers from six universities in producing tangible results in composting, agroforestry, insect-based feed, and urban environmental education. The West African Conference on Agroecology, held in Bopa, Benin, in March 2026, brought together 160 participants from seven countries and 44 institutions. This resulted in the formation of the West African Agroecology Network. The project confirmed that diverse, context-specific dissemination methods grounded in research evidence can effectively bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and farming practices, thereby contributing to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
