Original titleEIT Food Project – The development of organic supply chains that drive fair, transparent and healthy options for the consumer
Abstract

EIT Food is a European knowledge and innovation community with over 50 partners from leading companies, research institutes and universities in 13 countries. The initiative aims at making the food system more sustainable, healthier and trustworthy. As part of a contract project, FiBL will assess the state of digitization of two selected organic value chains "organic vegetables" and "organic beef" and identify future requirements (e.g. tools, interfaces, databases) to ensure organic integrity. In workshops, the results will be discussed with other EIT Food partners and relevant representatives from production, control, trade and consulting.
