Abstract

The Lake Geneva region of Lavaux, bordered by a thousand-year-old vineyard established by Cistercian monks in the 12th century, is relatively peri-urban with a population of around 30,000 inhabitants.

The strong enthusiasm for the practice of organic viticulture in French-speaking Switzerland requires technical support for the players in the sector who wish to participate in it.

The aim of the study is to measure the efficiency of wine production systems leading to organic and biodynamic certification compared to mixed programmes offering the Integrated Production label.
