Self-determined nutrition and participation in residential care homes in Romania

Original title

Selbstbestimmte Ernährung und Partizipation in Wohneinrichtungen in Rumänien

Abstract

The project "ReGreenEat" focuses on the right of people living in residential care centres to adequate food and a real voice in their food-related decisions.

The project works with residents and staff at three residential centres in Bucharest on all aspects of the food environment, including consultation and co-creation, nutrition workshops, participatory cooking, adapted gardening, composting and team training.

The aim is to develop a participatory model that remains embedded in the institution's practice and can also be used by other centres.

The project is funded by the Civic Engagement Programme (CEP), which is part of the Swiss-Romanian Cooperation Programme (SRCP).
