The benefits of agriculture – high performance for Austria

Original titleVom Nutzen der Landwirtschaft – Hochleistung für Österreich
Abstract

The project makes key achievements of Austrian agriculture visible to the general public. Based on scientific research, ten socially relevant topics from the areas of livestock farming, biodiversity, soil, climate, and food security are analyzed, quantified, and translated into easily understandable visual statistics according to the ISOTYPE principle. The results are disseminated via information screens in Vienna, Graz, and Linz, as well as via a permanently available online platform. The aim is to communicate complex contexts in an accessible, fact-based, and visually appealing way, to increase public knowledge, and to strengthen the dialogue between agriculture and society. FiBL is responsible for research, quality assurance, project coordination, and science communication in close collaboration with the design agency dform and Infoscreen Austria.
