Organic Farming Innovations Network Europe

Abstract

Organic Farming Innovations Network Europe (OH-FINE) is a 48-month project that aims to empower European farmers and smallholders by defining, improving, and transferring organic farming knowledge and alternatives.

To this end, OH-FINE will create a pan-European Organic Farming Learning Community (OFC) structured around four main technological pillars:

  1. To develop a multidimensional framework for organic farming knowledge and practices.
  2. To establish a multi-actor approach to organic farming learning systems and validate the framework in 5 case study areas across Europe.
  3. To collect, distribute, and disseminate to farmers and other stakeholders easily accessible practice-oriented knowledge focused on organic farming and covering cereals, oilseeds, protein crops, and livestock.
  4. To develop a Decision Support System (DSS) ICT tool for farmers.
