The new European knowledge platform, the "Organic Farming Compass", is now online, supporting innovation and networking in organic agriculture. Developed as part of the OH-FINE project, which is funded by the European Union and the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), FiBL is one of the project partners. The platform provides farmers, advisers and researchers across Europe with access to practical knowledge, innovative solutions and valuable resources.

The overarching goal of the OH-FINE project is to strengthen the organic farming sector. This is achieved by developing, optimising and sharing new methods and approaches that meet the needs of farmers and consumers, as well as the evolving demands of the food market. Another focus is on building a network of European farmers to facilitate knowledge and experience exchange and build connections across different settings, such as regional hubs.

The "Organic Farming Compass" is the project's key knowledge-exchange tool. The platform connects farmers, consumers, entrepreneurs, and advisers, driving Europe's transition to organic farming. It brings together proven innovations, methods and tools to support users in finding and sharing effective solutions for organic production. The "Organic Farming Compass" can be accessed via the OH-FINE project website, which is managed by FiBL.

The platform offers:

  • practical examples and innovations from across Europe;
  • tools and information resources for organic farming;
  • results from European research and innovation projects; and
  • opportunities to network within the European organic farming community.
