Affordable and eThical TracEability SysTEms to support proDucer-consumer relationships in small and medium supply chains

Abstract

ATTESTED is an innovation project aiming to introduce a comprehensive set of interoperable baseline technologies in order to improve efficacy in the agricultural and food production landscape. This "toolbox" serves as the foundation for a transformative traceability and monitoring system, strategically designed to encompass the entire farm-to-fork journey. Embracing a cooperative and solidarity economy approach, our project aims to empower both producers and consumers by enhancing transparency, efficiency, and sustainability within the agri-food sector. The key components of our toolbox include technologies such as Radio Frequency identification (RFID), GPS geolocation technologies, IoT and portable sensing systems. To test and integrate these systems into a real-world setting three entities are joining forces creating a pilot in the form of a combined system. The pilot serves as a crucial testing ground where we assess the practical viability and performance of our combined system. By implementing the toolbox in a live environment, we gain invaluable insights into its functionality, reliability, and adaptability to diverse agricultural scenarios.
