Original titlePromover el Centro Sara Ana en Bolivia como centro internacional de capacitación e investigación en la producción de cacao orgánico bajo sistemas agroforestales
Abstract

This project aims to provide training materials and organise two international training courses on organic cacao production in diversified agroforestry systems for Latin American facilitators. Thus, results and experiences of the research project SysCom Bolivia and the involved partners will be shared and discussed. Additionally, the project contributes to the development and international promotion of the Sara Ana research and training center in Alto Beni, Bolivia.

Detailed Description

The overall goal of this project is to build essential capacities among trainers and advisors in designing and implementing diversified or dynamic agroforestry systems with cacao and other tropical crops in Bolivia and Latin America.

The first project component provides a set of modular training materials based on results from the long-term systems comparison trial on cacao production systems in Bolivia and organizes two courses for the training of educators using those materials in the Sara Ana research and training center in Bolivia.
