The Organics Europe Youth Event (OEYE) provides a platform for the youth, being active or interested in the organic sector, to discuss and learn about the potential and challenges of organic production and its role in a sustainable food system. The event brings together participants with diverse backgrounds including farmers, processors, retailers, activists, and politicians among others. This mix of participants will foster cross-fertilization between different fields of work and disciplines and bring forth innovative ideas for the future of organic production. In addition, the event will enable participants to grow their professional network. It will mark the starting point of a permanent network for youth in the European organic sector.
The first edition of the OEYE is dedicated to the theme “Organic and You(th) – Together for sustainable food systems”. The event is hosted by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL) together with IFOAM Organics Europe and Bio Suisse and will take place on the 31. August until the 2nd of September, 2022, in Frick, Switzerland.
