The main aim of the project is to provide technical support to the three knowledge hubs in Western, Southern and Eastern Africa and help implement their activities and achieve their objectives on knowledge gathering and validation, dissemination of validated knowledge as well as promotion and strengthening of networks among organic actors.
This overall objective is defined by the following benchmarks:
FiBL will support, in a technical manner, the three knowledge Hubs in Western, Southern and Eastern Africa in implementing their activities and achieving their objectives on knowledge gathering and validation, dissemination of the validated knowledge as well as promotion and strengthening of networks among organic actors. Recognizing the differences in existing capacities and strengths among the three Knowledge Hubs, FiBL places great emphasis on supporting the Western Africa region to develop and strengthen their Knowledge Hubs. The focus will also lie on the Knowledge Hubs in Southern Africa, while for East Africa, FiBL will place lesser emphasis and support additional activities only where the greatest need exists.
FiBL will also help harmonize methodologies and approaches among the four regions for a more coordinated and coherent outcome. This harmonized approach is especially important because all the Knowledge Hubs are expected to contribute to building the Continental Platform of the KCOA project.
Advising the hub partners and GIZ project mamanagement, mainly on issues related to research methodology, digitalization and con-text knowledge on African organic actors and existing knowledge.
