In the latest episode of "Voices on Climate", we interviewed Felix Wertli. The environmental ambassador working for the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) is leading the Swiss delegation to the COP30 climate conference, which will take place in Belém, Brazil, in mid-November.

COP30, the 30th UN Climate Change Conference, will take place in Brazil from 10 to 21 November 2025. The focus will be on evaluating the collective efforts of the participating countries. As the world is still a long way from the target of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees C, there is likely to be increased discussion about climate adaptation.

In the run-up to the meeting, we were able to interview Felix Wertli. He is optimistic ahead of the meeting and is convinced of the multilateral approach. Wertli has been the Swiss Ambassador for the Environment since 2023. After studying in Geneva, the 48-year-old geographer completed a postgraduate degree in development cooperation at ETH Zurich. He then worked for various NGOs before serving in the Swiss Federal Administration.
