Voices on climate: "Climate adaptation cannot be imposed from above"

As part of the Interreg project KlimaCrops, FiBL has been working with partners to investigate how arable farms in north-western Switzerland can adapt to climate change. Environmental and natural scientist Jan Landert from FiBL reports on the findings from the project in the series "Voices on climate".

Using two fictitious model farms, the project employed modelling to investigate which climate adaptation measures would be appropriate for each. In the interview, Jan Landert discusses, among other things, the fact that there is no one-size-fits-all solution for adapting to climate change and that a different mix of measures is required depending on the farm's structure.
