A new publication analyses the problems of contemporary intensively-farmed landscape and describes possible measures to a more harmonious interaction of agriculture and nature.

The publication “Agriculture and Landscape - The Way to Mutual Harmony” from Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic, describes the problems of current agricultural landscapes and options for their solution. The publication was realized with contribution of the Research Institute for Organic Agriculture (FiBL) Frick, Switzerland. The new book shows that, for sustainable development of agriculture, it is essential to create a diversely inhabited cultural landscape, rich in species and providing development possibilities for living organism. The book presents not only theoretical arguments on the subject of ecological renewal of the agricultural landscape, but offers innovative and proven methods of achieving this aim in arable land, grassland, orchards and vineyards.
