Development of a series of courses on the QII assessment of biodiversity enhancement areas

Original title

Aufbau einer Kursreihe für QII-Beurteilung von Biodiversitätsförderflächen

Abstract

At present, the methods used to assess the quality of biodiversity enhancement areas are highly complex. Consequently, the considerable potential of areas of high ecological quality, known as QII areas, often remains untapped due to a lack of knowledge about them.

The new courses enhance knowledge transfer and foster a sense of personal responsibility among advisers, inspectors, and farmers. This ensures that QII areas are correctly assessed, established and maintained. This leads to a measurable improvement in biodiversity and ensures the effective use of QII subsidies.
