A practical guide to biodiversity in agriculture

Abstract

Every farm is unique and offers countless opportunities to promote biodiversity. Even simple steps can make a big difference whilst supporting production, for example through an increase in beneficial organisms and improved soil fertility.

In this richly illustrated handbook, farmers will find information on a wide range of measures and structural elements, as well as on biodiversity promotion areas in Switzerland. Practical tips help with successful implementation in meadows and pastures, within and alongside arable crops, in vegetable, fruit and vine cultivation, or around the house and farmyard.

Whether minor adjustments or major projects: every effort contributes to greater diversity and to strong agricultural production.
