FiBL supports the planning of the "Agroecology Partnerships Policy Dialogue for Subsaharan Africa" of EU's DeSIRA LIFT+ and its core partners "Forum for Agriculture Research" (FARA), "Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture" (RUFORUM) and "Biovision Africa Trust" (BvAT). DeSIRA LIFT+ is the second phase of facilitation of the "Directorate-General for International Partnerships" (DG INTPA) DESIRA initiative with several hundred million of investments into support of agroecological transitions.
The core objective of the FiBL assignment is to analyse needs and opportunities and support the design of an operational action plan to strengthen agroecology-related policy dialogue and partnerships. FiBL's contributions include mapping strategic policy arenas, unpacking agroecological debates, and identifying entry points for the partner organisations.
