Bionet Gemüse 2025

Abstract

The "Bionet Gemüse" project strengthens Austrian organic vegetable farms through close collaboration between practice, advisory services, and research. The focus lies on knowledge transfer, practice-oriented research, and professional exchange. Key measures include location-specific field trials that provide relevant insights into cultivation methods, crops, and varieties; target-group-oriented preparation of research findings to facilitate access to innovative production methods. Accompanying these efforts are educational offerings such as webinars, (practical) seminars, workshops, excursions, and informational materials. These strengthen the professional competencies of farmers and enhance the resilience and competitiveness of their farms. Overall, the project contributes to a sustainable, regionally rooted, and future-oriented organic agriculture in Austria.
