Building on experience in viticulture and early research in strawberry plantations, this project aims to find appropriate solutions for intelligent inter-row and under-row cover in fruit crops. Trials are continuing in the strawberry fields on low-lying cover that requires little mowing. Sowing trials are being set up in other fruit crops, including temporary plant cover and flower strips in the inter-row, and targeted sowing at the base of trees in young orchards.
