In East Africa, group certification for organic farmers through Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS) is already established in most countries. Rwanda is an exception. The national organic association in Rwanda, ROAM, now wants to enable PGS certification for Rwanda as well.
The project is preparing the pre-conditions for the establishment of organic group certification through PGS, through surveys and the preparation and implementation of a workshop with organic stakeholders in organic agriculture in Rwanda.
