In cooperation with the fair trade company GEPA, the GIZ project supports the Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (SCFCU) in Ethiopia in adapting their structures and production to the new EU Organic Regulation 2018/848.
The main focus is on questions related to the new requirements of group certification with Internal Control Systems (ICS) and new standards for plant production.
Based on a fact finding mission, relevant training materials will be elaborated and two trainings will be provided to the management board of SCFCU at the union level and to the ICS managers at the cooperative level.
