Food ProVISION through SustAinable FaRming SYstems and Value Chains

Abstract

VISIONARY aims to improve the sustainability of food systems by promoting practices at all stages of the food production that are more environmentally friendly, economically viable and socio-culturally appropriate, and helping to remove the barriers to their adoption.

The project adopts a whole agri-food system approach to investigate the linkages between not only producers and consumers of food, but also incorporating food processors, manufacturers and retailers, and how changes in the behaviour of these actors impact the overall sustainability of the system.
