Moldova is a country with great potential for organic agriculture. In particular, its proximity to the fast-growing European organic market offers Moldova interesting export opportunities. In order to raise awareness of organic agriculture and build up important know-how, FiBL is supporting the development of training materials for Moldova in close cooperation with the NGO "Education for Development" (AED) and local experts. A dozen leaflets and videos are being produced in Romanian and Russian on various important topics in organic agriculture. The project follows a pilot project in 2019, where the dossier "Organic Farming: Basic principles and good practices" was produced as a practical reference document to promote organic agriculture in Moldova.
