Development of Integrated Management for Organic Fruit Production

Original title

유기 과일 생산을위한 통합 관리 개발

Abstract

The project is focused on research for plant protection and cultivation technique in organic production of apples, stone fruit (cherries, plums, apricot) and berry cultivars.

Basis of the project is the exchange of information on organic cultivation technique in both Switzerland and Korea. Within the project, selection, evaluation and exchange of disease resistant cultivars of fruit species (mainly apples, but if possible also cherries, plums, apricot and berry cultivars) will be done. Parallel evaluation and efficacy testing of plant protection products allowed in organic farming for apple and cherry diseases (Marssonina coronaria on apple and Monilia sp. on stone fruit) and research on the biology of these diseases will lead to integrated implementation of optimised control measures against these diseases.
