Swedish Input List launched

In October 2021, FiBL officially launched the Swedish Input List (Insatslista för Sverige). The project is a joint effort of FiBL Europe and FiBL Switzerland. It is carried out in close cooperation with the national partner KRAV, a Swedish private standard owner and sector representative.

The Swedish Input List is an online directory that will serve as a reference for the choice of input materials to all Swedish organic farmers, those affiliated with KRAV and following additional production rules, and farmers certified according to EU organic legislation. Furthermore, FiBL supports KRAV with the administration of certified products (certified by third-party certification bodies), which will also be displayed in the Swedish Input List search module together with the evaluated products.

Since 15 October 2021, companies have been able to submit their products for evaluation and the listing for the three main categories: a) fertilisers, composts, soils and technical materials, b) plant protection products, beneficials and related materials as well as c) feed materials (e. g. mineral feed, premixes).

The Swedish Input List is the latest addition to the European Input List. Currently, there are 7 national input lists in place. The European Input List is a database of commercial products which comply with the requirements of the regulation (EU) 2018/848. Like all other FiBL Input Lists, the Swedish Input List is based on expert evaluation and longstanding scientific experience in assessing inputs for organic production. Through the profound expertise of our technical experts, we can provide a reliable and trustworthy tool respecting EU legislation as well as the FiBL evaluation criteria.
