With the support of the Czech Ministry of Agriculture, the newly formed Technology Research Platform ‘Organics’ will be launched on December 2, 2008 in Brussels.
The following topics will be addressed:
- How to use EU research money in line with the society needs for a responsible research?
- Potential of organic food and farming to mitigate climate change and ensure food security
- Organic farming as a tool to ensure rural livelihoods and empowerment of rural economies
- Organic food production as a stimulus for innovation, economic growth and jobs
Speakers include among others Jiri Urban (Czech Vice Agriculture Minister) and Timothy Hall (Acting Director, Directorate E - Biotechnologies, Agriculture and Food, DG Research).
