FiBL Europe organised an organic breakfast with its key partners and stakeholders in Brussels to celebrate its new President Jürn Sanders.

On June 14, FiBL Europe hosted its first Organic Breakfast networking event in its office in Brussels. The aim was to relaunch its traditional networking activities in Brussels after two years of COVID as well as to introduce the newly elected President of FiBL Europe to the public.

The new networking format with an organic breakfast was a huge success with a strong participation of representatives of our key European public and private partners and relevant stakeholders based in the capital of the European Union, including, among others, the European Commission, IFOAM Organics Europe and the Swiss Mission to the EU.

After 2 years, FiBL Europe president Beate Huber handed over the presidency to Jürn Sanders. Sanders is specialized in European agricultural policy and will help strengthen the interests of the national FiBL institutes and the organic farming research in Brussels.

FiBL Europe was founded in 2017 with the aim of representing the FiBL Group (FiBL Switzerland, FiBL Germany, FiBL Austria, FiBL France and the Hungarian Research Institute of Organic Agriculture ÖMKi) as the leading research, advisory and development organisation for organic agriculture in Brussels. The European Commission has made its priorities for the next few years clear with its “Farm to Fork Strategy” and its Organic Action Plan. With its work, FiBL wants to contribute to making these reforms a success. FiBL Europe will play an important role as the representative of the FiBL Group in Brussels.
