Booklet "Faces of Organic Cotton"

The portrait series "Faces of Organic Cotton" has been published as a booklet. Eleven people give an insight into their lives in the environment of organic cotton production. The booklet was produced as part of FiBL Switzerland's SysCom (Farming Systems Comparison in the Tropics) program.

The online series is now also available as a booklet: "Faces of Organic Cotton" introduces eleven personalities involved in organic cotton in the Nimar Valley of India. Their stories, experiences, struggles and motivations are presented in their words. The different life worlds come together in the theme of organic cotton and the SysCom program.

SysCom is a program implemented by FiBL, where long-term trials are conducted in three different countries in the tropics: Kenya, Bolivia and India. The aim is to assess and to compare the effects of conventional and organic farming. The SysCom team works closely with local farmers and local partner organisations. Together, they run on-farm experiments, organise farmer groups, workshops and field trips.

The booklet is available as a PDF for free download.

A limited print edition of the booklet is available on request. For this, please contact Eva Goldmann.
