The FiBL Foundation Council has elected sustainability specialist Bernhard Kammer from the Migros Cooperative Association as a new member. Lawyer and entrepreneur Sofia de Meyer has stepped down from the strategic management committee of FiBL in Switzerland.

At the end of November, the FiBL Foundation Council elected Bernhard Kammer as a new member. He is Head of Sustainability in the Sustainability & Economic Policy Division of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives and, in this role, is responsible for the Migros Group's sustainability partners.

Bernhard Kammer grew up in a farming family, studied business administration at the University of Bern and has been responsible for sustainability issues at Migros for many years. As the highest governing body, the FiBL Foundation Council has overall responsibility for the institute. New members are elected by the Foundation Council for a three-year term.

Departure from the Foundation Council

Bernhard Kammer succeeds Sofia de Meyer, who stepped down from the FiBL Foundation Council at the end of 2025. The lawyer from western Switzerland took up her post in May 2021. In 2009, she co-founded Opaline Factory, an environmentally conscious beverage company based in the canton of Valais. The company produces fruit and vegetable juices using raw materials from the region.

FiBL is very grateful for Sofia de Meyer's valuable support. Drawing on her entrepreneurial experience, she provided valuable input throughout her tenure, including practical contributions to the development of the FiBL strategy. FiBL thanks Sofia de Meyer for her great commitment and wishes her all the best for the future.
