2nd International Conference on Biodynamic Research

Conference banner

From 30 August to 2 September 2021, the 2nd International Conference on Biodynamic Research (BDRC21) will take place online. Ten partners, including FiBL Switzerland, will organise a varied and broad programme.

At the conference under the topic “Growing beyond Resilience”, academic, participative, and practice-led research from farming work and the food system is presented. Participants are invited to critically question resilience: What concepts exist currently? How are they being implemented? Are they fostering or hindering further development? What forces are needed to move beyond present conditions?

Besides key note presentations by, among others, Patrick Holden (Sustainable Food Trust), Jean-Michel Florin (Section for Agriculture) and Saskia von Diest (Ecofluency), more than 60 people from 15 countries will hold presentations. Furthermore, there will be opportunities for exchanges in the form of discussion rounds.

The goal of the conference is to foster biodynamic research, to develop it further and thus to meet the current challenges, such as climate change, constructively.
