FiBL Austria - hub and service centre between research and practice

FiBL Austria was founded in May 2004 as a non-profit-making organization based in Vienna. The FiBL team in Austria currently consists of 14 staff members.

FiBL Austria regards itself as a service centre and interface between research and practice, coupled with an active role in networking all stakeholders along the organic food production chain.

FiBL Austria cultivates intensive cooperation with both Austrian research partners (e.g. Agricultural Research and Education Centre (AREC) Raumberg-Gumpenstein, University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna, University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna) and partners in education, training and advisory services (e.g. Rural Further Training Institutes, Chambers of Agriculture, BIO AUSTRIA, Demeter Association, KT-Freiland Association for organic livestock production). At the international level there is strong cooperation with FiBL Switzerland, FiBL Germany and the Bioinstitut organic institute in the Czech Republic.
