Course on biodiversity consulting on farms

Original titleLehrgang gesamtbetriebliche Biodiversitätsberatung auf Landwirtschaftsbetrieben
Abstract

Biodiversity in cultivated land is currently declining. The course "Biodiversity consulting on farms" aims to positively change the impact of the federal biodiversity subsidies (CHF 410 million annually) on biodiversity.

The course, which is broadly supported by an advisory group (FOEN, FOAG, Swiss Advisory Forum, 6 pilot cantons (BE, FR, LU, SG, ZH, TG), possibly KBNL and other stakeholders), is designed to train biodiversity advisors who are able to provide goal-oriented and holistic advice. Whether the course meets this requirement will be analysed in a scientific monitoring. After completion of the project, the course will continue to be offered with an adapted project organisation.
