Aim of the project is to create a global directory where organic certified companies, retailers, processors and providers are centrally listed
Actually, 35 certification bodies of different countries provide information about more than 70.000 organic companies. This makes it easier for provider of organic products to check their suppliers and this way to ensure their own organic certification status.
It is possible to check in realtime which companies are currently certified and which legal and private law standards are maintained.
Furthermore registered companies can generate lists of their suppliers and are f.e. being informed as soon as the certification status of their suppliers or their products change.
The directory expands constantly to ensure a wide range of information for the users.
Hence the backtracking and quality assurance of organic products is promoted and the international integration and transparency is improving.
In addition the search for certified companies within the organic sector is facilitated and there is a central platform with information about certification status for all users.
