This first organic sector study for Saudi Arabia offers an overview of a young but steadily growing sector. It provides a comprehensive insight by describing the historical development, the actors involved, the production and marketing, the legal and institutional framework. It is therefore a valuable resource for stakeholders and interested trading companies.
The publication results from a collaboration between GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) and FiBL together with its partners of the Saudi Ministry of Agriculture and the Saudi Organic Farming Association (SOFA).
