On 25 April 2017, the Swiss Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL) and the French National Institute of Agricultural Research (INRA) signed a partnership agreement in Laqueuille (in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region) to strengthen research in the field of organic agriculture. The collaboration will support existing activities and help in the development of new projects.

FiBL and INRA signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen their partnership of over 20 years, which has resulted in several research projects and over 40 joint publications on topics such as animal health, plant and animal breeding, soil fertility, etc. The memorandum will now help in developing the future of organic agricultural research with new joint projects on interdisciplinary topics.
