Packaging materials: Bio-based plastics

Abstract

A large portion of plastics is based on petroleum derivates. Recent developments show that plastics made from renewable resources may prove to be ecologically sounder.

The aim of the project is to indicate the possible applications of bio-based plastics to processing plants in the form of guidelines or an information leaflet.

Detailed Description

Researching the current state of bio-based plastics, gathering background information and clarifying potential applications. Processing knowledge in the form of a practice-oriented technical leaflet.
