Training

FiBL has a training department which is in charge of initial and further training in agriculture.

Furthermore FiBL offers courses for farmers as well as courses for actors of the international organic sector.

• Maintenance of the Internet listing of trainee positions on organic farms throughout Switzerland
  
  
• Design and implementation of the project “Pilot training course: New farm-worker qualification specialized in organic agriculture”
  
  
• Listing of all initial and further training opportunities in organic agriculture
  
  
• Management of the training office (Geschäftsstelle Bildung) on behalf of the Swiss government accredited professional association, BIO SUISSE.
  
  
• Quality assurance for training to qualify as a farm worker or farm worker specialized in organic agriculture, in cooperation with the Swiss farmers’ association Schweizer Bauernverband (SBV)
  
  
• Updating of teaching materials and documentation
  
  
• Contribution to the elaboration of regulations
  
  
• Drawing up training concepts with the Swiss agricultural association Schweizerischer Landwirtschaftlicher Verein (SLV)
  
  
• Working in commissions and working groups
