Weed control in different crops
Deep-rooted weeds are a major problem in organic production. Indirect measures such as adapted crop rotations, multi-annual meadowing and mechanical control are well known but are not always and not in all locations successful or feasible.
- Development of new economic indirect or direct control mechanisms for a variety of perennial weeds.
- Provision of scientific knowledge to aid decisions on whether antagonists or natural herbicides are suitable to organic farming.
