Training / professional career

  • Since 1996 as extensionist for organic horticulture and arable crops at FiBL: Advisor for farmers, responsible for vocational trainings in organic horticulture , Technical documentation for organic horticulture, responsible for FiBL-vocational training programme; different assignments and projects in Eastern and Southeastern Europe, South Europe and Africa.
  • 1986 - 1995 Biogemuese AVG, Galmiz / Schweiz (cooperative of organic farmers): Buying and selling of organic vegetables; market development; setting up of an internal control and certification body; technical advisory work for farmers
  • 1981 - 1985 Practical wok in different farms and as a farm manager
  • 1976 - 1980 studies in agronomy at ETH Zurich (master degree)
