Information hub and statistics on organic agriculture
There is also growth in the need for information on the current state of organic farming in individual counties and worldwide and on current trends and prospects. This information is required in particular by policymakers, associations and market players as a basis for their decisions. For people involved in the media such information is indispensable. FiBL Switzerland processes statistical data on agriculture and on the markets in Switzerland, Europe and internationally. Every year FiBL publishes the book The World of Organic Agriculture 
together with the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements IFOAM . It also maintains the website www.organic-world.net
Since 2008, the global data collection, the results of which are published in the yearbook 'The World of Organic Agriculture', has been financially supported by the International Trade Centre ITC and the Swiss State Secretariat of Economic Affairs SECO . NürnbergMesse, the organisers of BioFach Fair, has supported this yearbook and the data collection since 2000.
The data collection is carried out together with the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements IFOAM.
